CLC NAMED TOP SCHOOL IN THE SOUTH WEST
College is delighted to have been named the top school in the South West for both A Level and GCSE results, by The Times and The Sunday Times 'Parent Power Guide 2019'.
This places College above all independent and selective schools in the region; a position that is reflected by the core data for each set of results, as well as the guide's ranking system.
In the guide's national league table for independent schools, College is ranked 23rd in the country, based on a combined score for A Level and GCSE results (excluding IB and Pre-U). In the separate IB league table, College is ranked 10th in the UK.
Generally, College does not actively participate in published league tables. With combined and separate tables for different qualification, inconsistent scoring systems year on year, or the exclusion of IB, A Level and/or IGCSE results, many tables do not represent the achievements of our pupils in a meaningful way.
While the league table should still be viewed with this perspective, the 'Parent Power Guide' does provide some of the more comprehensive tables available.
However, academic excellence at College will always be about more than exam grades alone. We provide pupils with the skills and confidence to have a positive influence in the world and continue to celebrate their achievements on an academic, co-curricular and personal level.
