Guild member Sara Lavelle, who reached the final of Sky's Portrait Artist of the Year 2019, returned to our screens in October, appearing in the Portrait Artist of the Week series broadcast on SkyArts.

Sara left CLC in 2013 and studied Illustration at the University of Brighton where she graduated with a First Class degree. She also studied painting at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minnesota, for a semester in 2016 as part of her Bachelor’s degree.

The four-hour painting challenge, during which Sara painted a portrait of renowned DJ Annie Mac, was live-streamed on SkyArts Facebook channel, with the final hour broadcast on television.
