Tea for Guild and Honorary members who left College in the 1960s and earlier 25/09/19
It gives me great pleasure to invite Guild and Honorary members to afternoon tea on Wednesday 25th September from 2.00pm until 4.30pm in College.
As numbers of attendees at the Guild May AGM have risen substantially in recent years, some of our Guild members have shared with us that they are finding the occasion a little overwhelming. In response to this, and keen to ensure we do not lose the more personal feel of the experience for Guild and Honorary members returning to College, we are keen to trial a new event on a smaller scale in the form of afternoon tea in the Princess Hall. This will be an ideal opportunity for you to meet other Guild and Honorary members who left College in the 1960s or earlier, enjoy a delicious tea in the fabulous surroundings of the Princess Hall, and hear from myself and the Chairman of Guild during the course of the afternoon. You would also be welcome to have a tour of College and to visit the College Archives.
The invitation this year is extended to Guild and Honorary members who live in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire (our plan is to hold this event annually around the UK). If you would like to attend, please complete and return the reply form by 13th September, which you can download by clicking here. The price is £12 per head – please make cheques payable to Cheltenham Ladies’ College. Tickets can be booked online by clicking here.
If you choose to join us on 25th September, this does not in any way preclude your joining us for the Guild AGM on Saturday 18th May – you are most welcome to come to both!
Car parking will be available at the Health & Fitness Centre on Malvern Road and a mini-bus will be on hand to bring you to College and will return you to your car after the tea has finished.
I look forward to welcoming you back to College in September.
Yours sincerely
Eve Jardine-Young
Principal and President of Guild
