SPRING CONCERT 2019
College staged its annual Spring Concert at Cheltenham's stunning Pittville Pump Rooms on Friday 8th March. The public concert sold out and the venue was packed.
One hundred girls joined forces with parents, staff, Guild and Honorary members and professional musicians to produce an extremely memorable evening. The concert opened with Kamsi and Maia as soloists in highly skilled and spirited renditions of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto and the Dvorák Cello Concerto. The first half was rounded off by the College Symphony Orchestra's powerful interpretation of Beethoven's famous Fifth Symphony.
The second half featured a moving performance of Mozart's Requiem. The 120-strong chorus was joined by soloists Heather Parker, Elisabeth Irvine, Oliver Vincent and Andrew Hopwood; and the orchestra, led by professional musicians, featured many of our senior girls.
The concert was conducted by our outgoing Director of Music, Dominic Hawley, and was organised by our Head of Vocal Studies, Oliver Parker. Congratulations to all the girls, staff and parents involved.
