Former Staff - March 2021

We have received the sad news that former member of staff, Mrs Kath Philp, died on Friday 12th March.

Kath was PA to Miss Hampshire, Joan Sadler and Enid Castle (1978-1995). She was also a temporary housemistress in later years (1998-1999) and on College Council (2003-2009).

She was very proud of her time at and continued association with CLC.  She made many valuable friends here over her 30 years' of service.

Her daughter, Laura Sutton (1980-1987, St Clare/Bayshill), informed us that the funeral will take place on Wednesday 31st March at 12.30pm at Sacred Hearts Church. Sadly, due to strict COVID restrictions, there are very limited places at the church for close family only.  However, the service will be streamed and the details are below for others to participate virtually.

The family very much hope that, when rules permit, they can celebrate Kath's life later on in the year and will keep us updated.

(It will also be available as a recorded viewing after the funeral for one week.)

Any donations, in memory of Kath, for the benefit of her favoured charities (Headlines Craniofacial Support and Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice) will be greatly received and can be made online at the below link or can be posted to c/o Mason & Stokes Funeral Service, (Kath Philp), 54 Hewlett Road, Cheltenham, GL52 6AH.
