VISIT TO RODMARTON MANOR

On Wednesday 13th July, Guild members from Gloucestershire and further afield enjoyed a lively pub lunch before making our way to Rodmarton Manor (www.rodmarton-manor.co.uk). We were very privileged to have an introductory talk to our visit from Fiona James (former CLC Art and History of Art teacher from 2000 to 2015) who gave a most interesting description of the development of the Arts and Crafts building designed by Ernest Barnsley.

We then explored the house, which has the original Arts and Crafts furniture, and garden in our own time.  It was a rather warm but very enjoyable afternoon.
