Research by PwC revealed that 78% of those who lost their jobs as a result of coronavirus were women. What’s more, the Institute for Fiscal Studies and the UCL Institute of Education found that mothers were 47% more likely to have permanently lost their job or quit, and 14% were more likely to have been furloughed since the start of the crisis.

We’re emerging – slowly – from the greatest health crisis of our generation. And it’s shown us that some of the basic inequalities are still present and that working women don’t get the same deal.
