Tea for Guild who left College in the 1960s and earlier 13/10/23
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to a tea for Guild and Honorary members on Friday 13th October from 3.00pm until 5.00pm in College.
As numbers of attendees at the Guild May AGM have risen substantially in recent years, some of our Guild members have shared with us that they are finding the occasion a little overwhelming. In response to this, and keen to ensure we do not lose the more personal feel of the experience for Guild members returning to College, we are keen to host another event on a smaller scale in the form of afternoon tea in the Princess Hall. This will be an ideal opportunity for you to meet other Guild members who left College in the 1960s or earlier, enjoy a delicious tea in the fabulous surroundings of the Princess Hall, and hear from myself and the Chairman of Guild during the course of the afternoon. You are also welcome to have a tour of College and to visit the College Archives beforehand from 2.15pm.
The price is £14 per head, if you would like to attend please click here to pay for your ticket. Please book by 29th September.
If you choose to join us on 13th October, this does not in any way preclude your joining us for the Guild AGM on Saturday 18th May 2024 – you are most welcome to come to both!
Car parking will be available at the Health & Fitness Centre on Malvern Road and a mini-bus will be on hand to bring you to College and will return you to your car after the tea has finished.
The Cheltenham Literature Festival will also be taking place on this date (6th-15th October) so you may wish to combine your visit with a few other events whilst you are in Cheltenham.
I look forward to welcoming you back to College in October.
Yours sincerely
Eve Jardine-Young
Principal and President of Guild
(1988-1990 Elizabeth)
