ART, ARCHITECTURE AND DINOSAURS: Tea and a stroll

Guild members are invited to tea at my home in Cliff Parade, Penarth on Thursday 30th June. After tea we will take a stroll around the area looking at the features of this charming coastal town which attracted the wealthy coal and shipping barons in the late 19th century.

The town evolved around the port and the views out across the Bristol Channel. With money came style and art, but before mankind was here the area was populated by early Sauropod dinosaurs (Camelotia) who roamed the margins of what was a shallow inland sea 200 million years ago. Weather and tide permitting, we can go and see the tracks they left in the soft mud.
