INVESTMENT IN OUR ESTATE

Over the next ten years, informed by an estate master plan, College is making an investment second only in scale to that of our founders over 160 years ago.

In 2012, we embarked on a refurbishment programme of our junior boarding houses and in summer 2013 we began refurbishing the music faculty. Looking ahead, our focus is to ensure that College remains fit for purpose and able to deliver our vision for College to flourish as never before.

PHASE 1 - SPORT AND WELLBEING

Phase One of our capital investment is to enhance our sports facilities enabling all girls to participate in a sport or activity of their choice, instilling a foundation for long-term health and wellbeing alongside important life skills. To complement this, a wellbeing programme commenced in September 2015 and gives all girls the opportunity to experience a broad range of relevant topics and experiences to help them flourish and develop personal resilience

PHASE 2 - ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Phase Two of our capital investment will transform the teaching and learning spaces of our main site, to better meet the needs of our girls as they continue to achieve academic excellence. The flagship project within this phase will be a state-of-the-art science, technology, engineering and maths building. This continues our long history of commitment to science, having been the first girl’s school to offer it as part of the curriculum in the 19th century.

To date, we have committed over £45million towards our capital investment plans, but to fully realise our vision, we need help.
